Gemism, a new independent movement in contemporary art, was founded in New York in 2004 by Anton S.Kandinsky. Gemism combines both aesthetic and physically-theoretical approach that is expressed in a new art form.
Gemism takes it’s roots from Impressionism, abstractionism, suprematism and surrealism. Key feature of a new style is the play of color produced by gemstones, which provides a new aesthetics to visualization and viewer’s perception. It resembles the kaleidoscope with it’s ability to infinitely generate new effects that move with the speed of visual information around us.
A separate style within Gemism is dedicated to interior design and architecture. When applied to design and architecture it generates new aesthetical and functional impulse to interiors and buildings, opening unexpectedly beautiful perspectives.
